Re: Piccaso Idle Control valveUsually around the throttle body somewhere. I think there is a plastic cover on top of the engine on a picasso. Should be 4 plastic clips hold it on. It will be under there somewhere I would say
Re: Piccaso Idle Control valveThe covere is only on the diesels like mine
Ive sussed it out, near the air intake close to the manifold I think, Ste

Re: Piccaso Idle Control valveCould be the sticky out piece is retracted inside the housing??? Not sure if its a rotating valve or plunger type valve.
If anyone knows if the same engine is used in a peugeot I can check that or better yet do you have an engine code Ste???
Re: Piccaso Idle Control valveI dont Phil, mate whizzed up to Huddersfield in it today.
The pin from the butterfly valve into the throttle housing went into the Idle sensor and slotted into a plastic groove in the sensor itself rather than what the picture of that sensor seems to work the opposite way round with the post going towards the butterfly in the throttle housing. I dont know its the 8 valve petrol engine not the 16valve. It ran OK for a while after a clean, I cleaned the whole throttle housing while I was there and to be honest it wasnt that bad, I must be used to diesels Ste

Re: Piccaso Idle Control valvePetrols definitely dont coke up as much as diesels thats for sure.
What exactly are the symptoms Ste??? It is possible that the breather/bypass section for the ICV is blocked/split in some way.
Re: Piccaso Idle Control valveIts over revving at idle but intermittently, narrowed it down to either the idle valve or MAF, possibly the Lamba but dont think its that, going through the cheapest options first, no EML light on either.
Otherwise it drives great, it did need the accelerator cable tightening as it was really loose but not affected the other symptoms. Ste
