banter general discussions etc

Yes, the rumours are true; I have sold the Big Blue Bus. I bought the 2.8TDi Estate way back in September 2002 as a standard vehicle with 46k miles on the clock. Over the last 7 years it has been continuously modified and developed into a satisfactory commute/lane/play/safety vehicle - many of the modification are documented within the FOG forum. Generally, it has performed admirably. Only once did it let me down in so much as it did not get me home - a replacement engine was the solution to that problem. Now with 137k on the clock, the BBB is moving on to a new owner, whom I’m sure will continue to get enjoyment from what this Total Off Road featured Frontera has to offer. The decision to let it go has not been easy, especially when you listen to your heart, but listening to your head comes up with a more practical argument. A 60 mile round trip commute, although doable in an off-road biased Frontera, would be better, in many ways, in a road car. My role at work is evolving in so much as a road car would be more desirable to visit other offices and customer sites. Whilst the Estate will be replaced with a road car, the Sport will be retained and still be out and about at FOG events and even a few more competitive events. For me, it will be a sad day in a few days time when the keys exchange hands, but for the new owner, I’m sure it will be the first of many happy ones. Lawrence

How much did you let it go for?
I have been looking at 2.8’ frontys and V8 discos, not that im selling the V6 but some bargains have my attention lately, the BBB would have had an offer from me.

A nice big winch to fill the bumper or you could plant it up like a window box
