M-day (M.O.T)

Well i bit the bullet and phoned my local MOT station this morning and lucky for me they doing MOT`s till 7.pm there open till 8pm which could be handy. so i have a spot at 2:30pm today. The fronty a sorry state both passenger side tyres completly flat, fuels is on fumes and its not moved since start of july. I need to get my butt in gear get it tidy fueled and tyre inflated. Hopefully this time they will not brake my steering like last time on my escort. i do not expect it to pass as there a couple of thing needing done i just hope it not a list i got a few ££ set aside so will be on the net/phone ordering bits

Just because it should does not mean it wont,

what am i on about some out there will know.

Ever said the words should only take.. well it didnt 20minutes to remove spot lights cause one cracked. Then i used the plug in pump for the tyre i thought i would inflate the tyres enough to get to the petrol station and warm the engine and what happens The car urinated on me a friggin wee pin hole in the bottom of the radiator . I had to losen the expansion tank to relief the pressure think the cooling fan decided not to work. She said how long you be " I said not too long only walk round to petrol station come back inflate the tyre`s, remove the spots and warm the engine then have a cuppa before MOT.. It is too much to ask for sods law to f.o for a bit. nothing i can do now.

phoned them at 4pm told another half hour, when i dropped it they said next in line if it comes back dirty

VERDICT:

o/s stop lamp not working
o/s headlamp aim too high
nearside (no beam pattern) headlamp aimed so that it dazzles other road users
rear fuel pipe leaking
o/s front (two pipes) brake pipe excessively corroded
o/s rear (sill) seat belt anchorage corroded

There was advisories which i thought i would get failed on:

o/s brake pipe slight corroded
n/s front brake pipe slight corroded
n/s rear shock absober has misting of oil
rear brake pads wearing thin
n/s and o/s front wheel bearing slight play

All i can say is that was a good result. he said he was been as leanent as possible

i cannot complain this time.I will do the easy stuff get my dad to weld as i cannot nor do i own a welder and he has brake pipe making tool
