i'm still hoping to be there Sunday but with a rumbling rear bearing i have to question how safe it'd be

If its not leaking you should be ok, though it could make it a bit more difficult to remove.

I use molyslip gear oil additive just to make the diff run smooth

Right, Not sure how much will be needed per vehicle but I have 3 x 5 litre tins. 2 were donated by horses45 and the other one i bought. 5 litres is about 23 quid in Halfords. I have no idea how much is required per vehicle as I have never done a whole car before. Anyone have any idea of how far 5 litres will go?
