Good mechanic/garage recommendation needed

As title preferbly dudley/wolverhampton area

Need someone who is good won't rip me off to sort my b series 2.2 out with the egr fault i've cleaned it replaced some vac pipes that looked dodgy and its still the same

Now i'm a bit mechaniccly niave i'm ok if i can unbolt a part then bolt new part on when it comes to fault finding i just rollover and give up to the point where i'm ready to trade her in i had 2 test drives 1 in a range rover the other in a vitara

But i've decided to stick with her and get it sorted but i want to know its been done and done properly for a fair price it would also benifit me thats its a proper trader 'cause if i get an invoice my company pays for it

Take it to a Diesel Specialist if you dont want to go down the Main Dealer route. They are sometimes a good way of getting a honest diagnosis and they are used to seeing certain type of faults. There are some Mechanics who are good at what they do, but they just dont have the experience of Modern Turbo Type Engines with a complicated Managment System.

As with all these trades people ask around and see if you can find a somebody who can recommend a good one. Then give them a call, I think there is a lot of truth in that saying going by your Gut Feeling !!

So no recommendations on here then and asked around even the mot station where she passed today couldn't recomend anyone so maybe she will be gone then as soon as i find sommat else

Cheers for that speedbird i had looked through the recommended list but nothing there to help,I am pleased it passed the mot as i didn't think it would.

Its just that it now really getting on my nerves that evertime i get to 50-55 mph the eml light comes and it struggles to go any faster i won't take it to a main dealer as they wouldn't even tell me what the code meant i had to find that out on here they just wanted it in for another 3 hours of diagnostics to find the problem add that to then the time fixing it with price of parts at their prices and as you can see it gets a bit pricey

but a little good news i chap who does car tuning near me says on bmw's and any v.a.g group car the the egr can be "deleted" from the ecu thus enabling removel if wished he is going to borrow a tech 2 to have a look at mine and then see if its possible with mine so heres hoping
