Re: prices exhaust what have you paidSomeone recently posted that he got a Stainless one for less than that. Fitting is not too hard if you have a way of getting a Fronty high enough off the ground ( or happen to be a very small person or a very clever snake) the wife says "just bribe the kids"
I'm off to look for that post will be back if I find it as it is a: cheaper I think b: lasts longer c: his was bigger bore tube so his fronty went further and faster for less. A whole flock of birds with one stone. If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.
Re: prices exhaust what have you paidi used these they are the cheapest i could find. it just depends on what part of the midlands your from with regard to traveling.

Re: prices exhaust what have you paidI was desperately trying to save money with mine so welded on patches of steel the rear box and then foolishly paid £50 for just the tailpipe and then saw them on ebay for £15.00!
Its worth looking around if you have the time and I would have put a stainless pipe on but I was in too much of a hurry for some reason and bought the steel one locally.Go for stainless if you can, looks like youve had A good response so far . Hope you can find something.

Re: prices exhaust what have you paidHave you tried Milner Offroad?
Paid just over £110 mark for new replacement silencer boxes and tailpipe for a 2.2 Petrol LWB A - supply only and fit yourself. If you go down this route it would be worth sourcing a new internal fixing seal/ring from the place that Drift gave a link to in this post. It's seal the connection from the front of silencer boxes to the cat pipe and is very brittle. The original can easily be broken one removal. Also there a 2 rubber mounts positioned roughly under the rear passenger door area. On the one that I did I would have benefitted from gripping the rubber mount with mole grips and then undo the top and bottom nuts respectively. Thinking it was a bolt all the way through, I made the mistake of gripping the top nut with a spanner and undoing the bottom nut with the socket resulting in the mounts being broken in half. In my case, the bolts were independant of each other and were held together by the rubber in the middle.

Re: prices exhaust what have you paidIn the midlands would recommend http://www.tiptopperformance.co.uk. Full hand made custom exhaust, had a Vectra SRI 2.2 done not so long ago, cost the same as VX for a performance exhaust with lifetime guarantee, if going for standard stainless steal would have been about £50 less.

Re: prices exhaust what have you paidBUT the thing is ; if you are going to replace an exhaust and you can improve performance and save money both on the exhaust and on fuel consumption then do it because it looks like a lot of money but when you total up the fuel bills even if it is even steven you are at least getting somewhere smoother and a bit quicker.
OOPS does this only apply to diesels. If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.
