Re: Hazard stickersSurely he had cause to stop you and ask, if you were displaying a hazard sign.
We've used the orange plates when carrying large amounts of fuel in jerry cans (eight) in a transit van on the way to a rally. The policeman was very impressed when we produced the detail card. If a vehicle was involved in an accident and a hazard plate was on display, it might delay rescue until the hazard could be determined and procedures acted upon What sign were you displaying ? Re: Hazard stickersa gaz cylinder petrol can airesol cans can all be called hazardous but in limited quanties
it law to have a sticker on front of caravan ![]()
Re: Hazard stickersHi Dupe
Do you mean these stickers? .
Re: Hazard stickers![]() Any of these will cause problems if you are NOT ADR trained as you can be stopped by the Police and VOSA, and asked to produce your ADR Licience and TREM card. If the substance is no-longer in/on the vehicle then the sign "SHOULD" be removed or defaced
Re: Hazard stickersits great the number of stickers you can find, but they were only small one did it for a laugh, there off the car now,as it was pionted out there is a serious side to these stickers.
Re: Hazard stickersI always had a compressed gas sticker on my old bimmer, and when I got stopped by the feds, I proudly showed then the bottle of nitrous in the boot (connected to a 75bhp shot fogger kit!)
Only sticker that ever caused me probs was one I ran for 3 months in the rear window of my old slammed mk1 golf, with g60 engine and seriously tweaked G-lader blower...... ...The sticker in question was A4 size with a pickie of a police senator and "WANNA RACE COPPER" written across it in big letters!! First couple of coppers found it funny and remarked on the no. plates that had "producer exempt vehicle" written in the small type at the bottom where the dealers name normally goes. Finally got one who had no sense of humour who made me remove it and my DTM style sunstrip that came nearly 1/3 of the way down the screen.(I had got away with it before as had fitted mini wiper blades so that the sunstrip was not in the swept path of the wipers, hence reducing the size of "zone A"-but not this time!) To avoid littering, my mate who was with me stuck the still sticky sunstrip on the rear bumper of the traffic police car as it drove of up the road, the police then advertised the "In the weeds lowered car club" all around maidstone for the next 1/2 hr before he noticed! I must have had a dozen phone calls from mates who saw it on the back of the police car that night! Ahh...fond memories...lowered cars...n'ah lifted is better!! Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon! Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again... She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body... Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer! MAKE IT or BREAK IT! TEAMXTREME4X4 ![]()
