Had a PM from a member offering me a Speedo Unit from a 2000 2.2 LIMITED PETROL LWB FRONTERA.
I have a 2000 2.2 DTi Sports RS Auto SWB.
As i am new to the Fronty my question is would this unit fit my vehicle and would it need to be coded?
I can't see why is shouldn't fit, but is there anyone on here who can give me an answer.
Cheers for any replies.

The difference is just the rev counter The petrol goes up to 7000rpm The diesel goes up to 6000rpm

Excuse my ignorance but if the Diesel rev's up to 6000 wouldn't this unit be any good?
Or is there a difference in the wiring etc?

I suspect but dont quote me on this that the internals are the same but the rev counter has a 6000rpm redline for the petrol and a 5000rpm redline for the diesel version.
You will probably also have to install the bulb for the glowplugs and any other electrical devices your car has which may not have been on the petrol version.
Im sure someone who has a bit more experience with the B series will be along shortly.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it! Me Truck

On the A's, the individual clocks are separate (speed, revs, and the four little ones clustered together) - Are the B clocks of a similar modular design.
I was wondering if one rev counter could be swapped out with the other - or is there possibly more to it than that.
Just a thought - my mind wanders some times.

Has anyone used Digidash Northwest? http://www.digidashnorthwest.co.uk/Still looking to repair my dash. My cars still in the garage waiting on the fuel pump to be repaired, but the garage haven't had chance to look at the speedo yet.
