next fog/frontera meet, pollok i am looking in to another meet, around October/November,
viewtopic.php?f=32&t=25841 but my question is do we have a fog meet, frontera meet or 4x4 meet, (invite other 4x4 forums along) flying solo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Re: next fog/frontera meet, pollIt may be a bit far for us Southerners, so I'm going with Frontera meet.
I'd prefer FOG meets to be in the middle of the country, so as to be fair for all traveling to them. Couldn't make Bala as I was on holiday, so would love to be able to make another meet this year. Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: next fog/frontera meet, pollTricky one, this, but I've cast my vote in favour of a FOG get together...
Seems to me it's only fair to have a big gathering somewhere in the North of the isle, given that anything happening down in the Midlands area can be "too far" for the Scots members. Side note though, given that the last do was Bala in Wales, and this one's basically Glasgow, why not try and get a rotation going?? Wales - Scotland - England perhaps?? Jim Jim...

Re: next fog/frontera meet, pollit would be nice to have some where that is central to all but i think that would be differcult because of the lack of off road venues.

Re: next fog/frontera meet, pollAndy,Have you thought of liaising with Stu (Scotland Area Rep) with regard to dates, weather, site facilities, etc
Re: next fog/frontera meet, pollok unfortunatley this country is longer than it is wider,so those who live north & south will have to travel further,i mist the bala meet and what i can see on here and what i heard from krusher i dont wont to miss the next one.

Re: next fog/frontera meet, pollhaving read through the threads on this forum i have found that the only meets that work are the ones that the admin get involved in,and i applaud the work they do.the members who go to these meets come away with such excitment that they want more, you cant get enough of a good thing.
Re: next fog/frontera meet, pollI was under the impression that the reason the last meet was held in Bala was that our scottish members would be able to get there, none came.
I would of liked it to have been further south as it was a 600 mile round trip for me but I still went! Ramsgate, Kent

Re: next fog/frontera meet, pollok guys and gitls, but there may be another option, do not quote me on this as we are still waiting on confirmation,
we could always join diff lock on there annual outing in september, this is taken from difflock, Well folks it's time to start preparing for the biggest and best off road event. The 12th drumclog event has been booked for SEPTEMBER 26th and 27th 2009 As usual you will be allowed to turn up to Drumclog from Friday morning onwards, camping will still be FREE and you will be allowed to stay at the campsite until Monday if you need to. We ask that you tidy up behind yourselves, there is a bonfire area in the middle of the campsite where all rubbish can be left, please do not put gas canisters into the fire area, take them home with you. The cost is £25 per day per vehicle or £60 for the entire weekend (fri/sat/sun) The site at Drumclog is situated just south of Glasgow(see directions below) consists of 1500 acres and has terrain to suit everyone, you can have a relatively easy drive around the site or you can go try out the more difficult and usually VERY muddy parts of the site,it is very unlikely that you will cover the whole site during your weekend, after 11 drumclog events i still find bits that i haven't been on before. This really is an excellent site for off roading and the event is more than worth the journey, meeting people from all over the Uk and socialising in the evenings is a huge part of it and makes the event what it is. There will be a catering van onsite to feed us. There are plenty pics of the site on difflock if you do a search. The rules will be kept as relaxed as possible,in the past we have had a few incidents of non payment or blatant disregard of safety,if you do not think you can follow a simple set of rules or if you intend to just turn up to the event to cause trouble or to try and get a weekends off roading without paying then please think again.ANYONE matching this description will be asked to leave the event and will not be allowed to attend these Drumclog events again!! This is a fun and friendly event. remember we are still waiting confirmation, this is just to see what you think, flying solo, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
