Re: immobilisers and insurance companiesYour insurance company should have those details themselves. I think you should be asking them why they haven't the correct vehicle details.
Also if you have a Sport ask them how many seats it has. As it only has 2 seat belts at the back you only have 4 seats. I'd bet they say you have five. Less people in a car should equal a lower premium. It worked for me last month. Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: immobilisers and insurance companiesi have just had a full blown argument with my insurance, over the imob and the car being a insurance write of, as they want an engineer's report, and dvla don't, it has passed its mot and is deemed road worthy, i had to change my insurance, and lost a full year NCD i only had one payment left,

Re: immobilisers and insurance companiesWhen we insured our/MY sport we just told them it was the factory immob and they accepted that, they did ask if it was 5 or 4 seater mind. But they eventually understood that it's only a 4 seater after I explained that it didn't have a center lap belt. from what the chap at the other end said was that the majority of 3 door and 4X4's are 5 seaters nowadays, and his system didn't have 100% data about all cars hence the reason why he had to ask "stupid" questions. I imagine that they just work off a checklist. Also it can be worthwhile to take the NCB protection, even though we've never had to use it.
