Hello Everybodies.
I am new to FOG (joined just over a week ago) and new to Fronteras (bought a 2000 Frontera 2.2 RS also just over a week ago). I have always wanted a Frontera after my friend bought the 5 door version from new some years ago. Well, as I've not long retired now was the time to get one !!
The vehicle came with all the manuals, service history, etc. However, I was told (not that it's any great shakes) that the rear window panel opens and closes (like the side windows). Looking at the construction of the rear window and what switches are available inside the vehicle (and the manual that came with it) it doesn't look to me as if the rear window moves at all !!
I'm also led to believe that the back part of the roof comes off for use in the summer months. This does look feasible as there is an anti-roll bar present. Again, the original manual does not make any references to this. Is it possible? How do you do it? How long does it take to do? (If it does come off then it may make sense that the rear window does in fact close).
Finally, the bodywork on this Frontera is in excellent condition and to go part way to keeping it like this, does anyone know where I can obtain a reasonably priced bonnet stone/bug guard from?
Many thanks in advance for any help.
