I know a lot of you will be driving on the continent this summer, and if you are driving through Belgium,BE WARNED! There are 2 new laws just come into effect,mobile phones must be hands free if your cought with one in your hand, YOU GO TO PRISON FOR THE DAY NO IFS OR BUTS EVERYBODY! Second law is NO CRUISE CONTROL,ALLOWED!its a 250EURO FINE ON THE SPOT, watch out for policemen in white leathers on white BMW bikes,or white BMW bikes parked on the moterway usually by trees! this means they are hideing with binoculers,these are federal police, and are a law unto themselves and are known for their aggressive attitudes they are hated by everbody even my next door neigbur who is the local plod,so pass this message on to anybody you know coming this way, regards ken THIS IS NOT A JOKE

How would they know if you were using cruise or not I suppose driving with your feet out of the window would give it away abit

Just come back from Belgium, didn`t see any plod and drove most of it with cruise on must have been lucky

i have just copied the post into an e-mail to all our service engineers because our parent company is in Herenthals and we sometimes drive over there for training visits.

Plus with the English plates i guess we could be seen as easy pickings.
