Ahoy!
Well, I took the plunge and now have a Maroon 2.4 LWB Fronty, Hurrah!, One small problem is the bonnet release cable has stretched and won't release the catch, Alchamist has tried with pliers and grips to try and pull the release but to no avail, even tried a screwdriver through the grill to try and hook the catch.
Any ideas on how to get the bonnet open would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly, I've tried that one. The cable at the handle end is very freyed, so I'm not sure if a strand has broken inside the cover somewhere and is stopping it ...

Is this a symptom of a broken spring in the catch mechanism ?
I've not experienced this my self, but would imagine removal of the grill to be a starting point then a poke and a prod with a screw driver in the latch.
