Remember folks after all this snow and Ice give your cars a very good seeing to with the jetwash as the roads have not had so much salt on then in twenty years.
Keep the tin worm away.

Re: Salt/Griti will be ok as they have not salted/gritted or snow ploughed where i live

Re: Salt/GritWith my experience of 30 years on salty roads, every year from october to april, i would say that dont panic. Salt is not so bad. It just makes your cars rotten.
Re: Salt/GritWith our very damp climate the salt eats the metal like you wouldnt believe

Re: Salt/GritYou must mean salty oceans? My friend in Goa, India always says that he has to wash his car almost every day. Sorry if i under estimated that salt effect of yours. My salt comes from those roads, they keep pouring salt always when its below zero degrees. Sorry again, i live in inland here, so i have no idea of living in coast line. Sorry, i quit this topic. No regrets.

Re: Salt/Gritif you wanna get rid of the salt on your car i was told by a valeter to use cold water rather than hot as hot water "melts"the salt and some of it stays on the car , whereas cold water will wash the salt away .
out of retirement and out of my head
