Changed the oil and fitted a new copper washer to the new sump bolt as it was dripping after I retapped it. All hunky dory now. Still though, Im nearly £40 down as I only changed the oil a couple of weeks ago when I retapped the hole. Resealed the rear diff cover as it has been dripping for a while. Turned out to be a blocked breather hose causing a pressure buildup in the diff so it was forcing the oil out past the seal. Since I had a blocked breather hose I decided to use that 5 meters of hose I bought to extend the breathers and did just that. The rear diff breather is now sitting nice and high in the engine compartment. I have the T pieces for the gearbox breather but now I need to get some more hose to tie them in together. I was going to extend the Brake Balance bracket as my braking has been a little under par since the last suspension lift but when I was under the car I discovered that the bracket had bent, presumably because it had hit a part of the chassis/body somewhere. So Im on the look out for a new bracket or Il possibly fabricate something which is bound to be an improvement over the original. Tomorrow, time permitting Im going to do the timing belt and rollers/belt tensioner. I replaced the belt only a few weeks ago in the hope that the rollers and tensioner would be in good condition (trying to save a couple of quid) but when I replaced the belt I discovered that the rollers have a little bit of play in the bearings and spin very freely unlike the new ones in the timing kit I got which are firm and tight. Iv been hearing some horror stories about the nasty plastic rollers so thought it best to get it all done and out of the way for peace of mind. And on goes the never-ending saga that is my car
