A night out !!!!!!!

Well last night Dan & I went up to Mac to meet up with phil (Sir Dorris) n do a bit of night laning WOW what a night.........he has some awesome lanes round his area, We even ended up in a river Yes u read it right ....in the river..... We was only goin to cross it but Phil didnt see the slipway out n drove straught past it so did we 100yds in we realised we had gone the wrong way Well we did when Phil's front end dropped in to a hole so the water was up 2 his head lights
I'll let him tell u about that though, But we gotta do it again it was awesome

Ha! Yup, it was a laugh. We were going to do the wayfarer and a few lanes out that way but at the last minute I realised I was low on fuel so Bill & Ben came down my way. plan was to do the Brithdir lane and Happy Valley but my fuel light came on just after the river crossing at Tal Y Llyn which Iv been meaning to check out for ages. Iv seen pics of it and its only a mile or so down the road from me but you know how it is. Anyway, over a small crest and straight into the river we drove when we should have turned sharp right immediately after the crest. Easy mistake to make looking back as the road just appeared to be a bit flooded but it was the sudden change from smooth tarmac to a very rocky road (the river bed) and the fact that my headlights were suddenly under water that made me think something was up

Another 100 yards or so and we would have been in the lake proper

Anyway, decided to call it a night after that as my fuel light had come on and as some of you might know there arent any petrol stations open after 8pm for a 40 mile radius. I normally have at least 1/2 a tank but Iv been planning on dropping the tank for a while to clean it out and redo the tank straps so been trying to keep it low.

Enjoyed the Brithdir lane and as a few of you know it takes a while to do the whole length of it due to gates and distance. Thoroughly enjoyable and fair play to the lads for coming driving all that way for just a couple of hours of fun.

Wish we had that sort of thing in Norfolk, Everything is so flat even the green lanes are like driving on tarmac, the only real rough and muddy places here are the main roads.
