Re: What a day.....It does all look fairly similar. There is still a caliper on one side of the LSD, will fetch it off and see how similar. Then its sort out the handbrake bits, never ventured inside the drum on the back. Time to break my cherry methinks.

Re: What a day.....I can guarantee the handbrake adjuster will be seized if its like the fronty one which some Troopers where.
If you look in the beasts drum it will be full of crud from off roading it pays to take the discs off now and then and clean it out just before MOT time Ste

Re: What a day.....As far as I know the rear discs and calipers from a trooper will fit a fronty and vice versa. Have a set of rear pads here and the label on the box says troopers and fronteras with disc brakes. Also the rear discs on mine were for a trooper but went on a treat.
I think it may have been me asking for +2" shackles Alex. If theres a day playing with the bearinator I might come up for a meet and a fiddle.
Re: What a day.....Be careful, with them up above talking of fiddling is dangreous.... Thanks for the offer Phil. Prolly gonna do it in bits as weather allows.

Re: What a day.....Managed to change the oil today after laying some bricks for the garage. Took out the oil cooler and flushed it and a fair amount of gloop came out along with some drizzles of oil.
Retapped the sump for the new bolt finally. Very carefully drilled the hole out and retapped the hole being sure to turn the tap anticlockwise to get all the swarf out. As it happened there was plenty of oil left in the sump which dripped out bringing the swarf out with it. Once finished I put the bolt back in and put 2 litres of oil in, let it settle and drained it, stuck a pinky in the hole and had a good poke about, couldnt feel any burrs so repeated the flush to make sure. Changed the filter and refilled to the max mark. Have been for a quick spin to warm the oil up and there arent any leaks yet. Will keep an eye on it for the next while to make sure. About time too really as I was putting about 1/2 a litre in a week due to dripping sump plug.
