So part of the story for convincing the missus we should have a play truck was it meant we had a spare car sould anything go wrong with the other 2 (I'm a bit of an ogre if I have a broke car.) Weds I had a panic run to Sheffield and may have infringed a few speed restrictions on the way, Thursday the LWB developed a noise, front right. It could be a bearing or a pad gone south. Ah well thinks me, Ill take the SWB in the morning and sort it at the weekend. That night the missus comes home to announce "Ive been smelling petrol and now theres none in the car". A brief trip under the Citroen and theres a definate petrol leak.... Bugger she needs the LWB (she hits things in the SWB) so go gentle dear and not far I say. I go to work Friday am in the SWB and it has the same noise from the rear right the LWB has from the front Drivers 3 broke cars..... So today Ive done in no particular order. New fuel line, fuel filter, oil filter, oil change on the Citroen. Then New fuel filter, oil change, oil filter, Drifties fancy oil sump plug, mounted the visco and ordered a set of pads for the V6. Jacked the rear of the SWB, dropped on axle stands and started prep to drop the rear diff. Not bad for an afternoon and by Sunday afternoon should be back to 2 cars running.

Extra whisky for a porley pinky mate.
Forgot to thank Ste for the fancy sump plug, went in dead easy and Bernie for the visco coupling he gave me a few months back. The V6 has been running without any fan at all for 6 months, good job we have British weather here abouts.

Ahh maybe my back needs to ache. More beer dear, Ive worked sooo hard. Gimmie more and I may turn into the Bernie monster..... Ste, stupid question now, are they different threads as I just slapped the first one I came to in and it fitted a treat A little locktight and nipped up with a 24mm socket.

Ahhh well you see........ The back of the beast is in the air on stands. Something else I did today, to investigate the grumble. It appears from underneath that the disc on the pas side has been soemwhat ripped, the pads arent old at all so it must be crud thats gotten in and made a mess. As Ive the LSD sat about, and the original axle needs discs and pads. It seems daft to go to such costs rather than spend the time and loot on the LSD, so the Bearinator may be called for sooner rather than later. Will try to strip the LSD down in the week and see what I need. Also need to figure out what discs and pads I'm asking for for it, as I dont know the model Trooper it comes from Between that and the front diff swap I can feel me and the driveway getting re aquainted again.
