Had me a result!

Whilst at the scrappy gettting another load bias valve, from the same truck i got me a bullbar that had had the wraparound headlight bits cut off and it had two original bosch spotlamps and one foglamp that after i took off, apart from being misted up are perfect.
The bull bar itself is rust free apart from where its been cut and i prepared it today to have little metal circles welded in to blank off the holes. Also the mounting plates at the bottom only lost a minimal amount of metal (About 1 mm) when i scrapped the platic paint off) All for £20 !!
As well as that the bumper below the bar had only 1 scratch on the plastic lower half, and the metal bumper is rust free just a little dull. This was purchased for another £20 and now apart from a little wire brushing and anti rust paint to the mounting brackets and a re colour spray to match my truck shes a good un!!!
Can anybody describe a way to fit some recovery shackles or Jate rings to the bullbar mounting plates or should i just leave out a bumper mounting bolt out and grind off the captured nut and fit a d shackle?
Can anybody give me a idea of what strength shackles i need including pin size and a way of capturing a jate ring if i go to fix to the underside of the bullbar mounting brackets and do i need to get longer bolts than the orinal bullbar mounting bolts?

I know drift has removed the lower bumper mounting bolt and done as you have suggested. You need to use at least a 3 ton shackle

Anybody know of a supplier for theses d shackles.
