shropshire laneing

Went off around shropshire today doing a few really good lanes. Lots of mud, axle twisters and big ruts and hills. Was around the craven arms,ludlow and clee hill area.
Am hopeing to organise a fronty day out around over Christmas if anyone interested

Chris had to go in first to brake the ice. Was 2" thick












The disco got alittle bit stuck, so we gave her a little pull




Like i say, am gonna be doing them over Christmas so if anyone fancies a trip out ( and dont mind getting scratches and lots of mud on there fronty) let me know

Looks good, that first pic reminds me of that lane in Wales we did last week.

Keep me in mind as I dont mind a spot of laning around shropshire. What day were you thinking of?

Not to sure what day over Christmas yet phil? some of the lanes we did were abit extreme and the mud was very deep.We started out at 10am and got back at 5.30pm.The last lane we did was at "cleeton st. mary" nr clee hill and was very very muddy! again the landy had to be pulled out.
My mate in the landy waited all day for me to get stuck but not once did " nancy" get stuck! really pleased with her.
If anyone does fancy doing these lanes with me then think you mite need mud tyres and abit of a lift , but they are brill

Deffo tempted, the 15th were going laning in Betwys y Coed so anytime after that perhaps?

Hi mate me and dave are looking to get out over christmas if you have any room left.
If you can let me know what day your thinking of going i can check the dates with him. Havent lifted mine yet but it does have the muds. how bad are these lanes that you'd recomend a lift.

Have put down that a lift is recommended as a few of the lanes were very muddy and had very deep ruts .
Also there are a few deep water crossings in the woods. my car was very scratched and very, very muddy. it was getting dark when we got back so couldnt do all the ones that were planned.

ok mate , paintwork not great so scratches dont bother me and it has got an under bonnet mod for water crossings so hopefully that shudnt be to much of a problem.

How deep are the water crossings? Remember that after rainfall they will be substantially deeper and faster flowing so having a second alternative route to go around them is a good idea in case they are overflowing.
