oh yes definitely a gasket, its the same bottom end as the 2.4

4lb lump hammer and a good splitter should do the trick

Used in this fashion,but obviously on a ball joint

Not sure what you are changing as it is a split sump .............

had a good look today and its definitely not the sump, so me thinks its the oil pump or the front oil seal, who's up for a vote,

i think its the front oil seal,
