Re: How many miles & what's gone wrong ?S Reg fronty B bought in september with 61000 on the clock.
Already had a slight blow at the manifold and aibag light on. 62k - O/S CV boot split, replaced with a split type jobby. 62.5k - N/S CV boot split. As per above 63k - Central locking and immobiliser fault, wouldn't let me in the car or start it. Intemittent fault, can't be arsed to fix it yet. 63.5 k - Split fuel lines causing 7MPG. replaced with random plastic tubing I had lying around. 64k - Big end failure. Still undergoig live saving surgery. I hope that's it for a while.
Re: How many miles & what's gone wrong ?Re my previous post. Following a crank regrind, 4 new conrods and piston heads, a complete seal kit, new timing belt and various other issues with doing a home engine rebuild, the car is now back on the road after 5 weeks and £400.
A damn sigt better than the £3500 that Vauxhall quoted for the work. Robbing gits But my baby is now back on the road
