Re: My Other HobbySmoky water:
![]() ![]() I don't have the correct software loaded on the PC so I cant get the camera settings out of the pictures, but they were taken with about a 2 or 3 second exposure, early in the morning (you can see the patch of sunlight almost over exposed) - of course you'll need a tri-pod, or a rock to rest the camera on. Re: My Other HobbySmokey water was the only thing I ever learnt at college on my photography course. After 4 lessons it had to be stopped as somebody burnt out the dark room so never finished the course.
All the terminology for cameras left me baffled, We were working in black and white so this effect looks better. Most digital camera images can be edited even with the simplest of photo edit software which is one reason we cannot believe all we are seeing. Grabbed the shot of Trugga's from above and applied two simple effects to show what can be done to one photo..... Old photo with blurred edges ![]() Applied area Grey scale ![]() One photo two different images...with a camera you would need a lot of lenses and filters to achieve this.Cost to much for me to buy all this gear. Re: My Other HobbyThat's the clever part of it.The mark still shows and they are only being used as examples so no harm is done. Just shows how the digital era is making the world of photography more accessible even to dafties like me!!!! Oh and Keith Come and have a go if you think you are soft enough Andi

Re: My Other HobbyThanks Trugga.
I always have respect for others images as I know how much time and effort it takes to get some shots. Can relax now as I know I am not going to get a kicking Andi
