Re: What do you guys think of thisDoes it have wheels? They say it is portable but loaded up it could weigh 40kg, wouldn't want to lug that around too much. Often thought about a storage system for the workshop but would end up taking out what I need and putting them in a smaller box before trotting out to the car, so I may as well just keep the tools in smaller boxes anyway. No point having a mobile phone if you can't phone up the other half to do fetch and carry duties to the shed

Re: What do you guys think of thisI only have to lug it 30 or 40 foot so not a huge problem, just want the tools in some sort of order to get them easy when tinkering.

Re: What do you guys think of thisI think this looks good.I think its reasonably priced, its possible to spend an awful lot more on this type of box. Machine Mart ( who send me catalogues)used to have a good range, I liked the plain galvanised ones. You could try their website to compare prices.I think drawers are a good idea. I am always emtying my toolboxs to get at something at the bottom and I can never remember whats in it. Now, if I had drawers the tools would possibly go back in the same place.Great being able to lock it.Check its not too heavy when full of tools we've got one huge one at work and its okay on site until I try to carry it around although weight may be a deterrent to somebody trying to walk off with it. If it has a handle on the top this means you can carry it with one hand but cant stack anything on the top unless the handle is recessed. If it has handles at the ends it means you can only carry this and not anything else at the same time.At the end of a long day installing ironwork the faster the stuff goes back in the Fronty the better. Its tall so could be sat on and if it dosent have a lid(does it?) then the top can be used as somewhere to put bits of Frontera on or even cups of tea (bought out to you by loving and tolerant wife?)
Didn't mean to write all this one thought lead onto another. I didnt know about being able to buy wd40 etc at boot fairs,we go to church on sunday mornings so its not possible for me to go then, although there is one early on Thursdays in a field in the next village to my workshop maybe I could try it.Better stop there.
Re: What do you guys think of thisJust seen your last post which I must have missed earlier so I'm too late with the thoughts on it.
Re: What do you guys think of thisHi bud, while Drift does indeed have a loving & tolerant wife (creep mode
Re: What do you guys think of thisGreat stuff there jmc .
I had it open today and loaded the tools in, its perfect, it does weigh a fair bit but its fine for the distance Ill be carrying it. Unless the neighbours are about it wont leave the garden and its a nice little cul de sac here so should be fine. The lid is fairly shallow but enough to get all the spanners in and pliers and wrenches, three of the draws have the three differing sizes of socket sets I have and there extensions and stuff. The other has the imperial socket I hardly use and screw drivers and there various bits and a selection of commonly used nuts and bolts and circlips. It swallows a whole lot more than I thought it might. Well happy, kids went to pick it up to wrap it (I put it back in the box Ste
