WHY I THINK IT HAPPENS

I was just thinking, i think the reason the cast manifolds crack is because they have so many different metal thicknesses in the casting it makes them expand in so many different ways and maybe they are cracking where the casting is at its thinnest and its probably cooling ( shrinking ) at a totally different rate than the rest of the manifold, hense the crack always being in the same spot. Tubular manifolds dont seam to do this as they are a much more uniform thickness and more lenght in the pipes allows them to expand and shrink mor evenly. 9 years of manifold fabrication and 18 years of general fabrication brings me to this conclusion.

And yours are individual tubes so they would not create as much heat singularly as the stock ones possibly.

Yeah, me n Dan have been toying with the idea of a side exit, but i would want a bit more noise out of it when u boot it up a hill

i have a rage box hanging around some where the person who wanted it never did turn up for it

Even when I had the cone filter on my Sport is sounded brill, used more fuel as I loved the sound reving it

Dan has cut his back coz it was nearly square or oval ish

No great shakes on mine nothing drastic just decatting soon and took the cold start out of the system, fitted the new back half this weekend and it sits higher up thankfully as I thought it might hang down a bit, and Im lucky the tail pipe is nicely tucked up.

Its about all thats gone right this weekend on it
