On the way back from Jay's house on saturday i noticed a rather worried look on Dan's face and when asked whats up he replied " is the oil pressure gauge ment to dance round like that ". Now he knew it was dropping a bit of oil but when we got back his truck was only on the drive for about 5 minutes and there was more than a bit under it. So with the sump gasket already done he decided he had to bite the bullet and do the rear main oil seal. That night when our sprogladites had gone to bed we broke out the tools and started the strip down.Cheer for the bit of advice too Jase. The bell housing was a state. And bloody heavy to i might add.

Thankfully the clutch plate wasn't contaminated.
Replaced the rear main (which was a much better fit) and rebuilt it all.Not as hard of a job as the Haynes makes out though.
Then the FUN bit.............we fitted the 2" custom made shackles that the FOG in house fabricator had made.
Yes Alex thats you. OOOOOHHHHHHHH her back side was right up in the air and looking good.
Tonight we have had it round my house for an hour or so to wind up the torsion bars so she now sits at 37 & 3/4 inches from floor to wheel arch and looks mighty fine.
But no oil on the drive.
