As some of you may be aware, Nigel from LA Supertrux is the owner and driver of "BIGFOOT", and he very kindly put a couple of tickets on the gate for me and Callum. I would just like to thank Nigel for providing the best Father and Son day me and my boy are ever likely to have. We had a pitlane pass and both myself and Callum were in awe at the sheer size and noise of these machines.
Nigel gave me a bit of a run down of BIGFOOT's specs......9 ltr V8 which has then been bored out so you can shake your fist around in the pots, it weighs 5 ton and does 0-60 in 5 seconds
, is running a breathtaking 2000bhp and does a wallet crushing 45 yards to the gallon of methanol The racing was fantastic and I'm chuffed to say that Nigel won the final but unfortunately he pushed it so hard in the final that he damaged the engine and could not compete in the freestyle event but "SLINGSHOT" made up for it with an amazing display that in less that 3 minutes had both difs glowing until they burst into flames. Incidentaly, the drive of Slingshot holds the record for turning a monster truck on its roof the most times
The green truck, "EXTREME", unfortunatley pushed it a bit too hard in qualifying and launch it over 5 cars and landed on the front right wheel and spectacularly snapped the axle and virtually everything else at the fron of the truck and took no further part in the proceedings.
Once again, many thanks to Nigel for a brilliant evening and for making me and Callum so welcome and signing callum's bigfoot t-shirt and letting him climb all over your truck. I've never seen my son so exited.
