The boards are an idea if you can get it on them. I have known people use old carpet rolled out over the mud. Anything to get traction. It would also give you a chance to get under it to fit ropes.

Worth taking a few shovels to level center ruts out and save the body bits.

As so many have said, if it wasnt so far I would be happy to lend a hand.

Wish I had seen this post earlier, could have lent a hand. Think I would have tried to use the tirfor winch on this first. That goo looks erm....well gooey. One vehicle stuck can soon become two vehicles stuck.

Its a hand winch, I use it for pulling trees over and the like. Very versatile bit of kit.

Its handy alright, have winched myself and a landrover sideways back onto a woodland track after a little slip. Great for getting trees to fall where you want them to aswell (as in not on peoples houses).

I have something similar, called a Griphoist T.15 with a single line capacity of 1650lbs

I've only used it to pull out a tree stump from a neighbours garden, but it does come laning with me on occasions.
