I think I would like to know what is wrong before he puts it right. Some people know all the shortcuts and quick, temp fixes. Reputable or not, they are there to make money.

its a judgement call , if you trust them go for it , if not dont .if you buy a wrong 2.2 you will really regret it .

hi sean when i say it was running rough i mean it feels like its only running on 3 cylinders, similar to that, i spoke to the dealer this morning and he was'nt keen to get it looked at until it was sold, so i've decided to give it a miss even if it is a fair price my search will continue thanks everyone for the advice stefan

There was an 04 plate diesel SWB with the V-front grille bidding from £2000 reserve on Ebay! I'd not pay more than £1500 for ANY Frontera anywhere now myself. I know Fronteras are bottom basement on price - but I even saw an 04 5-door Jeep at just over £4k. in Cheshire on a dealers forecourt recently. The squeeze is on now for the average man or woman wanting to buy a post 2000 4x4 with today's fuel costs and next years tax hikes. Best options are 1990s cars, at least there will be no giant tax hikes and tyres and spares are cheap and plentiful. Engine management light? Oh yes a dealer can really work hard on this one, - like disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes and then recoding the radio.
1996 2.0 Sport - owned since October 1998. 2002 Citroen Berlingo Multispace 1.6 16 valve 110 bhp.
