pitfallsI would like some input , im thinking of going down the route of RTV instead of having a swb vitara which i trailer to events .I already have a lwb fronty , what breaks the most when offroading as im a ruff b***ard .
Re: pitfallsThe fronty is heavier but the parts especially suspension are easier to upgrade as its interchangeable pretty much with the Trooper and has good under belly protection, plus it can get a reasonable lift cheap.
Best extra you could get would be manual hubs to save diff and cv's. Ste

Re: pitfallsI'm contemplating doing an RTV at the end of the month - If I go, I'll let you know what broke
I've just broke a leaf spring at a play day, so that's one thing to think about. Lawrence
Re: pitfallsThe auto hubs are the main achillies heal as they snatch the spline when you reverse then belt forward, as in unlock then lock again, this can either throw the diff or the cv joint, this doesnt happen with manual hubs due to then once being locked staying locked forward or reverse thus no snatching.

Re: pitfallsHave blown one front diff with the auto hubs. Manuals are on the list of things to do. Pinion gear snapped.
