Re: 2.8 rear diff leakingDepends on the state of it, if its porous then its a new one, if its punctured a good welder can sort it. Stand to be corrected, but I think in general the trooper diff is different.

Re: 2.8 rear diff leakingThat may be my next step, as far as welding goes i'm fairly good when there is enough metal to weld to but miracles usually are not my forte.
I was hoping someone would have a spare that I could just swap over.
Re: 2.8 rear diff leakinga friend of mine has a rear axle from a 2.4 - will that diff cover fit my 2.8???
Re: 2.8 rear diff leakingShould do. The only thing I could think of that might be different is the brake bias valve bracket, but that only bolts onto the studs that are securing the cover anyway. So would imagine all the covers are the same.
Re: 2.8 rear diff leakingSorry, but the 2.8 is unique, it wont fit. As for welders, no sorry

Re: 2.8 rear diff leakingTrooper deffo different, if its the seal leaking it can be resealed, but likely it will need replacing, looking around £60 these day main deal, it aint worth getting second hand.
