After all the work Jay has had done to his Sport, with ample support form the local FOG membership, it was finally time to get some mud on the tyres. After some subtle (and some not so subtle ) hints, I was persuaded to lead Jay & Joe around a modified "Beginners Green Laning Day" route in north Wales. Having met for pleasantries at Mountford Bridge services, just out side Shrewsbury, we headed into Wales via the back routes and the scenic Bala Road, cutting across towards the Wayfarer. A remarkably clean looking car to start with: The Wayfarer: Oh dear: But, eventually, we made it to the summit: Then, we moved on to White Stones with it's side slopes and slippy slate: Then, to round of the day, we visited a few shorter, yet still amazingly scenic, lanes: A cracking day out in some glorious sunshine, with some great company. Cracking pics Joe - it's just a pity a photograph just doesn't do the scenery justice. Here's a closer one of the heater pipe: It was really strange... we had done the long climb and stopped both vehicles to open a gate, then all of a sudden "POP". Of course, we had'nt seen another vehicle on the lanes until that point, and all of a sudden, two Landrovers appeared Lawrence

Great pics. I gather we werent far behind you Lawrence, or at least in the same vicinity. It was a fantastic day out, at one point it was hot enough for me to think my arm was going to get sunburnt.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it! Me Truck
