Flipped Ball Joints.

I've got meself some shiney new Upper Ball Joints to go along with the new Front Shockers and Manual Hubs.

My question is ........

How Do I "FLIP" the ball joints.

Anyone got any piccys of one already done.

Sorry for been a bit thick, but our resident 6 year old Suspension and Axle Technical Advisor name "Spencer" is currently at School.

And before anyone says it, yes I have used the search button, but nothing turned up !!!!

Would be worth shaving lower travel bump stops whilst there. Hows the wobbly steerin column Jase?

It only adds a few mm of droop unless you use spacers then you get a few more mm's The main reason is if you wind the torsion bars up over about 2" you loose camber making your front wheels go like this \----/ they should be be nearer this 1---1 the ball joint flip can help achieve the later and make re alinement easier.

hmmm do the upper ball joints split better than the lowers

They are a bit easier but I still destroyed mine when taking them off, I was fitting new ones anyway.

Now it sooo simple when working on the suspension as you only need to undo the top bolts you dont have to split it

My tops split real easy, its the lowers that were.... resistant

is it just the top ball joint you flip and is it worth doing just for the 2" lift and if your going to flip them isn't it just easier to replace with new.

Its only really if you go over 2", yup top ones and its easier if you get new ball joints as you can wreck them splitting them... if your me

ok i just split the upper ball joint, and wooooooooops i forgot to put the jack under the wishbone
now when i try to jack the car up on the wish bone it just lifts the car and wont let me get them near each other, i have even removed the bummper stop to help it, and even put the ball joint in fliped still wont meet, i am short buy about 10 mill to get the castle nut on, what am i missing
