Hi, refitting front prop shaft on my 2.5TDi after replacing starter motor. marked front & rear flanges for alingment on refit. Put it all together yesterday evening. Drive down road today - really back knocking through floor in 2nd gear. Could be UJ is out of whack after the shaft has been off, but what worries me is that I might of inadvertantly spun the bloody thing through 180 degrees and have fitted it rse about face.
Haynes book is of limited use - says ' fit sliding section forward'. As it's a telescopic arrangement, which bit is sliding? - one half slides over the other half, whilst from another view point actually one half is slidng into the other half of the shaft. Great! Thanks Haynes.
Any experience/views (other than i should have marked front & back - hindsight!!!)?
So which should it be female or male part of telescopic propshaft to the front?
Ta VM. JB
