Re: its backDont forget the same engine was used in cavalears (2lt 8v)
Only main difference being the sump & oil pickup pipe. Your best chance on getting a good engine is to get one from a low milage mot failure (rust bucket) At least then you can hear it running 1995 2.8 lwb
1995 2.0 swb 1992 2.3 lwb,,,,, is it red or is it green ? its my old new play machine !!! 1997 2.2 lwb ,Decided to break this one, Very excelent 120k petrol engine !!! serious offers invited. 1995 2.4 lwb A FEW PARTS LEFT FOR SALE !!!
Re: its backWhat can be very easily done as well is getting SEH engine, which is very similiar to C20NE but will output 130bhp instead of 115. Can be found in prefacelift Cavs Mk3 SRi. You can get nice motor in very good condition (wherever C20NE or 20SEH) at one of other forums. I would point you to www.cavmk3oc.com. Many mechanics who will sell reckon motor for around £300, as second hand one will cost around £50 only these days (from Cavalier or Astra).
Re: its backHi m8, there is an engine recon place thats one of our customers and He's got a 2.0 fully reconned that he's had for about 2 years (the car it was going into was written off) Hasn't been run yet. wants £300 for it. If you are interested let me know.
