banter general discussions etc

Today while out on the lanes of Wiltshire, we stumbled across 2 walkers, both Female with 2 young (no older than say 5) daughters, and 2 dogs... they where on a charity walk called the white horse challange. It seems as though they got a bit lost and asked us for directions... which we helped them with. They had also run out of water (it's a hot one here today). So we helped them get on track with our OS Map (they left theirs in the car!)... and the carried on our way after some freindly banter. So basically we left 4 girls in the middle of no-where on a hot day with no water, and no map...(I couldn't live with myself) So when we got to the end of the lane, and I went looking for marshalls to obtain some water....I got hold of almost a litre, and decided to drive it back up the lane back to them as a matter of urgancy.. so off we set, found the lane again, and set back to finding them. When we caught up with them we had a bit of a chat and explained where to find the Marshalls... they only had 1 litre of water for the whole day, 4 for people (not to mention the dogs).... Looked like they had never been so glad to see a 1 litre bottle of Volvic their entire lives! They looked so de-hydrated!
We gave them a breif re-fresher on how to get back on track (they where a good mile off course and at least 2 from the marshalls) and left them to finish their walk.
We quite possibly saved them a lot of greif today, it could have been ages before they found the marshalls, if at all, and even longer to get water....
So has your Fronty been used to rescue folks down greenlanes.... (and pulling out over enthusiastic freelander drives out of muddy quagmires doesn't count)

First outings I carried a spare for everything. Starting to thin it out now to the fluids and a small tool kit. Defo going to put one of them cv joint repairs in though.

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
