CB FOX HUNTING .... i know how it sounds lol

has anyone every heard of cb radio fox hunting ?????
its a game where a group of you in vehicles (well 4x4's prefered of course ) meet up together somewhere each car is one driver and at least one passenger ( the runner for times when you need to open a gate or if it needs to be accessed by foot from that side )
one of you is of course picked to be the fox and from there it becomes hide and seek
rules are you designate an area or so many miles ( restrictions need to be looked into on access to particular land )
the fox goes to hide and has 10 - 15 mins to do so
once hidden he/she then lets us know theyre hidden ( can be done b4 15 mins is up if hidden quick then just let them know )
then every minute fox must broadcast ( on agreed channel) for a total of 30 seconds then a minutes silence then 30 seconds and so on (can be anything including random babble)
we the pack go to find them using nothing but triangulation and the needle on the rig we use to broadcasts to find the strongest signal point from as many sides possible helping each other to find the fox first one to find the fox becomes the next fox and so on
we do not encourage speeding or misuse of vehicles against the law vehicles must be road worthy legal and must have permission to use the land involved

Find the Bandit, was a game we used to play in my Cav. Someone would head off, and start babbling away, we would then have to find them.. it's good fun, but does need a strong relationship with your co-driver!!

no reason why you cant organise it with few people close to you you only need about 8 cars for a good starter more will join i promise you its very addictive all of you can arrange it in an area portion the country out its not copyrighted

I would suggest we go look for him after 15 hours (or maybe even days) NOT 15 minutes!!

It was either the DX loop, or the twin twigs ... the loop worked better, but not that practical to drive around with if you were solo!

If I recall, it was a copper tube, bent into a 500mm diameter loop. I fixed mine to a roof rack on my Alegro, and used a photography tripod adjustable head to rotate it.
