Re: Beginners and experienced Greenlanes Longmynd 28th JuneFor directness, I cant believe I'm recomending the M6 carpark to anyone, but Sat am it should be clear and the quickest way. If you were far enough South to be coming up the M42 I would have suggested staying on the South loop and mapping it cross country. If you do pick the M1-M6-M54 then meet with the rest of us on the M54 and convoy mate.

Re: Beginners and experienced Greenlanes Longmynd 28th JuneHi Guys,
i am made up that i am now on the list for the greenlaning day and will definately be there. My only concern is that as i haven't done any laning at all wether i would be better going in the novice group, although i will have the SWB lift back toy ready for then i ain't actually used it yet. If you think i will be OK in the other groups then that is fine but i don't want to hold anyone up due to being a laning virgin. Where abouts are we meeting? do you have a postcode/location for me to put in the satnav and what time will we be meeting? I'll be coming from Chester so either the M6 or the M54 will be no problems for me. Thanks in advance for the responses Dan I am nobody......Nobody is perfect.....Therefore, I must be perfect!

Re: Beginners and experienced Greenlanes Longmynd 28th JuneOK! OK!
I get the point! I am a wuss! Problem is what if it breaks when I am there? My Frontera skills extend to spraying primer on rust! Not great if my engine decides to die!
Re: Beginners and experienced Greenlanes Longmynd 28th Junehave faith in your truck ......it will re-pay you well

Re: Beginners and experienced Greenlanes Longmynd 28th JuneFrontydan, will check the groups, if theres a spot in the novice will put you in. Unfortunately there is limited room in the novice group, that said there is nothing to get you stuck in the other groups. You would be put in behind a leader and kept an eye on, Weave or Mart will do a sterling job of looking after you.
Lanes are all done slow, theres no technical stuff or serious declines to manouvre, theres nobody who will test their machines on the day. With one eception we didnt get anyone stuck on the recon, and that was a simple tug to get over a hump with Goldfinder in his lowered swb. Although I have said this, it is prudent in any trip to maintain an experienced member in a suitable kitted machine at the front and rear of any group to ensure that any mechanical breaks can be towed away in an appropriate direction, hence the inclusion of Fuddy in the novice group (thats right Jase, your officialy experienced Hope that helps explain a few descisions. Any questions keep em coming, and dont worry Carl wont tell anyone the reason it as long to find us in Wales was a wrong turn or two Doh slipped.Fronty no.4, pimp mobile Treg 3.2 LWB lifted 2.5"
