Are us Foggers going to back the fuel protests. I am asking the question here because there seems to be 100's of different UK car clubs internet forums and if we all started signing from the same hymn sheet, it just might give the campaign a bit more weight.

You can't keep on burying your head in sand and hope it doesn't get worse, sometimes you have to do something about it and I don't mean sitting behind your PC. ATB. Reeco

Hi All, Martin, something like us Foggers as a group of driving 4 x 4 enthusiasts turn up at legal protests to show the government we are not happy as motorists that the rise in fuel for vehicles is getting so stupid, last week, I saw a local texaco garage by me had desiel up at £ 1.29 per litre, today 4 days later it's £ 1.31.

I don't know how much the government are ripping us off for when it comes to their cut but personally i think our mickey mouse government are taking us to the cleaners big time.

So many people are saying it's terrible, it's time Joe public did something about it.

Question for anyone at what stage or what cost, do you actually start to think about direct legal action.

I did attend the transaction protest at Cardiff, just before Christmas 2007, although the protest that day was a shambles, I think things have got better since then and I think every motorist who has had enough should look to add themselves in this fight. ATB. Reeco

your right there i'll back the protests why should i be penalised for having a family and needing a large car and not even that large with fuel and car tax plus all the other bills it cost a fourtune just to go to. work to earn the money to pay the bills a vicious cycle i'm better off on the dole by i have pride and enjoy working most of the time. . it's enough to drive you to drink and pay the goverment more tax . this is my oppinion on the present goverment

just one question, why is deisel more than petrol, when deisel is the waste product of petrol and petrol has to be more reffind,

simple because more people decided to buy deisel cars as it was a cheaper fuel , plus your motor got more to the gallon , and the goverment didn,t want to miss out , next the duty on bio deisel will be going up , because people with deisil motors are starting to buy that , i think all we are going to get from this gov is the 2p rise in duty will be scrapped in october , but by then you will be paying about £1.40 a litre ,

To be honest I'd like to bring up a vote of no confidence in the government, but I don't think enough people would support it despite the fact that they'll sit and whinge about the govt all day long they still won't get out there and do something about it.

i honestly think now thats what labour want,who in there right minds are going to vote again for the mindless morons,i think gordon brown nose & his pals wanna go out with a bang,give us hard working,law abidding citizens something to remind us of labours stance ooppss better not show to much might get gordon excited
& maybe we should all stay at home 1 day a week for a month the whole country,no vehicles on the road at all,then maybe the goverment aka 'money grabbing parasites' might begin to realise that yes ordinary working folk do exist on this small but so called weathly island.................

ive cracked the fuel price hike
what it is,is everytime gordon brown fancies abit of nookie & his missus says p**soff you ugly git,he takes it out on us & next morning brown nose puts the fuel up again,we gotta get rid of him or by july it'll be over 6 pounds a litre,unless you got a wifey or auntie etc that might be willing to sleep with him to keep the fuel prices down

We are hitting 123.9 a litre in some areas now, soon we will be faced with paying 2.00 a ltr. Philip Hollsworth offered this good idea:

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy petrol on a certain day campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't
continue to hurt ourselves by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT,whoever
thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a litre is CHEAP, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the market place
not sellers. With the price of petrol going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocket by not
purchasing their Petrol! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest oil companies (which now are one), ESSO and BP.


If they are not selling any petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers. It's really simple to do!!

Now, don't wimp out at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to a lot of people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the
message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and
pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it.. ..

THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all You have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all.(and not buy at ESSO/BP) How long would all that take? If each of us sends this email out to ten more people within one day of receipt,
all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8days!!! Acting together we can make a difference . If this makes

i thought petrol stations were francises (sorry terrible spellling) so the owners only got a small poffit of a few pence out of each litre sold and also is the likes of texaco petrol better than morrisons, my car seems to run better on texaco fuel or is it all in my mind. and i agree that boycotting stations wouldn't work some stations are the same price as supermarkets

The REALLY stupid thing now, is that veg oil is so expensive, it's cheaper to fry with Deisel!!!
