more help required

Hi guy and gals well i need more tech advise. Took my petrol 2.2 16v fronty to the garage they said prob was head gasket, ive now had that done and collected it today but! :( when i drive it the temp gauage shows 80 oc rad hoses are soft, when i turn of ignition the cooling fan cuts in and the rad hoses go rock hard, if i turn the ignition on the temp gauage reads 100oc+ any one got any ideas, all help appreciated

80 degrees normal running temp is a little high,have they used proper VX pink anti-freeze/inhibitor ? there is an issue using normal blue anti-freeze eating the oil cooler.
Ignition off then on again temp rise is normal.
Get the garage to check for air locks.

Does sound like an air lock in the system is the heater hot as well?
It might be slow but i can go anywhere!

gone to have a check love my fronty x2 but hate when they go wrong especially as its just cost me £541.00 to have the head gasket + service done :( :( :(

took it there because the hoses were hard and overheating. And yes the heater is hot :(

Are you sure the water pump hasn't got a spilt in the impellar and it's not doing anything. are all the hoses hot when its been run :?:

yes the hoses are hot. when the engine is running the hoses are soft, when you turn it of the hoses go rock hard and very hot and then the cooling fans then cut in straight away :(

Defo an air lock some where in the system. leave it running with coolant tank cap off and see if any air comes out, or if it bleeds its self. but if you have paid for a job to be done then they should sort it out for you. was this the fault on it in the first place?

yes it was but when they took the head of the head gasket had blown inbetween 3 and 4.
