Re: loss of powerCheck out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon! Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again... She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body... Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer! MAKE IT or BREAK IT! TEAMXTREME4X4 ![]()
Re: loss of poweryes it will rev fine standing still but try pulling away to over take etc it will not respond
under own steam it will still get up to top speed terry mair
Re: loss of powerThat does sound turbo related,
1) Check turbo & intercooler hoses for damage (splits, loose connections, etc). 2) Check for turbo rotation...remove turbo to intercooler hose,(with fingers well clear, get an assistant to gently & progressively rev the engine),assuming rotation next with engine off & keys removed chech turbo for end float & side play. 3)Remove the intercooler hose at the manifold (get your assistant back to repeat above)with your hanh over the open hose air pressure should increase with revs,if not & the above check is OK this would indicate a blocked intercooler.
Re: loss of powersounds to me like you could have a split fuel hose or air still in fuel system somewhere.
The 2.8 is renowned for fuel lines splitting where they come out of chasis up to tank, dont know if 2.5 is same
Re: loss of powercheers for the replys i will check them out and post the results once again thanks
