central locking kit. ( for my wifes VX corsa)

Postby Silver Ghost on Fri May 16, 2008 10:06 pm

Ok, i know its not fronty based,

But after many weeks of searching, we have finally purchased a car for my wife, its her first car and she starts driving lessons on monday. Its a vauxhall corsa automatic 1994, imaculate condition, service history, 85k on the clock. (and its a nippy little thing to drive).

Anyway, just wondered if you guys know anything about these central locking kits, she saw one while walking around the shops today, for 39.99, have not had a chance to look at it myself, or what make it maybe.

Are these things fairly universal and do they work. as one car we looked at the guy said he had one of these kits he would throw in if we bought the car. but decided it was not the car for her.

cheers.

Easy as pie if you know what ya doing  Fitted one to my ex's Corsa.

Be warned though you will need to take the doors off if ya gonna do it properly.

If ya need any help give us a shout or have a sneaky look at the Max Power/Haynes in your local Halfords

Grab yourself a cheap alarm system with bolt on central locking kit..
Probably about £150 in total and it'll at least give you the extra piece of mind that if someone tries to steal it you might get the chance to hear it happening and give em' a piece of your mind.. :P

Never heard of anyone having to take off a door to fit central locking though!!
