Headlight problem

Postby olympus16270 on Sat May 10, 2008 10:58 pm

Hi boys & girls,
is it possible to remove the lens/reflector from a headlight and replace it back into my old housing?
I am having problems with a lhd lamp that has just been returned to me from Germany,it is broken on one corner where the bolt goes through. He seems to think that the lens can be removed and replaced into my old housing.
If this is possible how do you remove the lens?
Lamp is fitted to my 2003 Olympus Sport and is the clear glass version.
Any advice appreciated.

it can be done, but its not worth the hassle, the housing and the lenz is a sealed unit

The retailer is really messing me about,if there is any possiblility of removing the lens from the housing and replacing it in my old housing I may need to give it a go.
There are 4 clips 2 top and 2 bottom other than than that not sure how it is fixed in.
Any advice appreciated.
