Went out with SWPORC 3rd May

On the 3rd of May we went out laning with SWPORC
We had a lot of fun and even sunshine

All vehicles laning split into relevant groups as there were around 17 vehicles
Members in our group
Group Members.
Yakater (Tigger)
Fronty Rich (2.4i Frontera)
Gordy (V6 Shogun)
Russ (LR Discovery)
Liam (Pajero)
??? (V8 RRC)
Scott (Pagero)

So Chris in the lead and the rest of us in convoy.
It was decided that we would travel between lanes in convoy and split into two once at the start and the first group would wait for the second at the end. 3 in the first group and 4 in the second group.
What a good day, something for everyone.
We had discos getting pulled out, tractionly embarrassed Paj's, Fronty's in need of rescue.

yep was a very good day even if i did get stuck again ...... think i need some more hight oh & maybe some more tyres ....

It was in mid wales not sure exactly whereabouts though though one lane was in Rhayader

Good post Rich, it is also Tiggers last outing before going up for sale Which means next year I will be taking a Frontera

The May SWPORC meet is now a regular event, camping and BBQ at Llangorse Lake plus laning. Everyone enjoyed it and there was a good turnout.

Llangorse Lake is near Brecon and the routes were split into East and West, the shineys went East and the peeps who weren't too worried about scratches went West.

The routes were a culmination of several months of recce's and checking with Powys rights of way offices before finalising into 2 sections.

We had some cracking lanes, fords, views, scenery etc etc

The west route went via Brecon, Llandovery, Rhyader and should have finished at Builth Wells but we ran out of time so finished just before Builth with 3 lanes to go.

There were 3 in the lead group, myself in Tigger, Rich and Gordy in a Paj and Russ leading the second group in his Disco, and the 2 groups only clashed on 1 lane

Thanks folks, but the day is only as good as the company and the lanes

If there is any interest from FOG then I would be quite happy to do the routes again, should have a shorty sorted out by the end of the month and would be good to get out sometime in June if anyone's interested.

Could potentially have one session in June and another in July and take in both routes seeing as the hard work has been done preparing them
