hi guys

can anyone help me please ive got a problem with 1 of my fronty's

it's a 2.2 diesle with the iszu engine when i start of the engine management light comes on will not go of until i over rev the engine in 3rd gear it comes back on when i slow down or stop

any one got any suggestions

Its not an Isuzu engine is a vauxhall engine

Could be your MAF ( Mass Air Flow ) sensor near the air box, but might be worth getting the codes read to pin point the problem if the light is staying on..

Sounds like one of the Vacuum Pipes to me... probably the turbo one... check them all though just to be sure...
VX do a kit to replace the lot...
Even a small split then 1 will through the EML on...

I though the 2.2 was a VX and Fiat engine???
Although I could wrong on the Engine thing... also best to check your MAF out too, as this could be throwing a wobbly... at least that what caused mine...

Check VAC pipes first though.

Ok, if you know where the Airbox is, the MAF is dead easy to find... on the top of the Airbox (a big black box behind the left headlamp, Opposite side of the engine bay to the battery.)
There is a pipe that leads from the Airbox top, to the Turbo on the Drivers side. (a large pipe that gradually gets smaller as it connects to the Turbo)
Now, on the pipe, right after the Airbox is an electrical plug. The device that the plug plugs into is the MAF. Though only a code reader will tell you if this is broken.

Now, Vacuum pipes start in the same place, they are directly behind the Airbox.
There are 3 cylindrical "things" these things (they are black with grey tops, look like Kodak Film canisters) 1 slightly higher than the other 2, are the solonoids for the Vacuum operated devices. (Turbo, 4x4 system, EGR, etc.)
There are little black pipes that run right to the devices themselves.
You need to take each of these off in turn and inspect very closely the entire length of the pipe... the one that runs to the turbo is quite long, but you have to make sure there are no cracks, or splits.
If you have splits on the part that connects to either the solonoid or the device, then 9/10 you can cut the pipes back to new rubber and re-mount them.... it helps save a few pennies... .
