4 wheel drive 2.2lwb 1999

Hi guys,
right, i knew the ins and out on the four wheel drive on my 94 2l sport. Now i have the 2.2 lwb 1999.

Now i have a button on dash to engage 4 wheel drive. and the Lever which is different, which only has 2 positions.

So i would like to kow best way to enagae for wheel drive, and do i still have to do the reverse back to unlock the hubs. because strangely enough it seems abit to easy to just press a button if you know what i mean.

To engage 4wd on the move push the dash button at up to 62 mph.(scary the first time but does work OK )

To engage 4wd from stationary push the dash button,once the dash light has gone "solid" you can move between high & low ratios.

4wd will only disengage when the ratio lever is in the high position,do not shift ratio`s while the car is moving.

To disengage 4wd assuming the above is correct push dash button,the light will go out,you are now in 2wd.

If the light keeps flashing re-engage 4wd then disengage,if after this the light still flashes stop & reverse off.

The reason it works this way is because the locking is done on the half shaft not at the hub.
