Well after 4 years of loyal service I had to say goodbye to my fronty yesterday. Hit a bumb when cornering and the back end stepped out, overtook the front and ended up like this More pics can be found here if you can bear to look http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c242/ ... /Frontera/It is a sad day for me but I had some fun in her. Am not going to get another one. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all the advice and help i have had over the years. Many thanks

I would imagine that a "write off" such as what I imagine that would be, would be taken away by the insurance company.

Cheers for the replies guys. Yes she is a write off in my opinion and as it will be an insurance claim unfortunately will not be able to break her.
Damage
All on drivers side
front wing - inner and outer bumper bonnet rear D pillar rear quarter light rear wing roof bar has twisted roof where it bolts on front and back engine fubar - upside down for over an hour, lots of oil where it should not be
She only rolled the once on to her roof but yes she held up very well

Tell you what though, all of that lot is repairable.. dunno about the roof though... it depends of wether the insurance co. will view it economically vialble though I suppose. A nice little summer project for you... Still, I can't help but think in a lot of other 4x4's your have sustained a fair few scrapes and broken bones.... Cheers. Matt.

Strapping into a Frontera does have a comforting feel, lots of steel, even on a B. Not like some plasti cars around.
Glad your alright, defo a right off, commercaily far too much work for the insurance to contemplate.

So Say I To Last Comment. Rules OK............. Get back into A Frontera. I wish you well knowing what its like to get back into a car after a crash. YOUR ANGLE WAS WITH YOU, is my belief. Do not be a stranger to this happy Family.

Hi mate,
Firstly, glad you are ok!!
That's the most important thing of course because everything else is replaceable. The Fronty doesn't look that badly damaged to be honest. Do you have any pics of the drivers side at all?
Cos the only damage seems that it would be from when it was rolled back over!
I would challenge the insurance co if they want to immediately write it off..
But hey up to you.
Do you think you'll get another Fronty?
And lastly, where was that corner?? Cos having driven most of this county I must say I've not come across it (which is probably a good thing)
Si

Glad you are ok Mark. I am from your neck of the woods originally, born and bred in Fareham ... not a road I recognise either! Stick around on the forums - Would be a shame to lose you completely from here.
