Re: MPG in SWB 92' SportHi Mark, This is only from my experience, if you get more than 23/24 around town from a 2.0 petrol, you have done really well. The answer to the other question I don't know. ATB. Reeco
Re: MPG in SWB 92' Sportmany thanks about what i expected
Re: MPG in SWB 92' SportThere is a handy little box in the top right called search .I put in fuel consumption & got...........viewtopic.php?f=32&t=16133&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=fuel+consumption
Re: MPG in SWB 92' Sportwhen fuel 'low' light stays on, recon to have 5 to 10L. It is not reliable & definately reduces over the (10)years.....My fuel gauge (in common with my previous 1991cavalier) reads higher the further I go (up to a point).......unfortunately I always run out of petrol before it reads full (lol).
Re: MPG in SWB 92' SportWhat the fronty gets on average, unless your good at converting ltrs to gallons, its around 20p per mile, so £10.00 will get you 50 miles around town.
On a run, being a great drive, but cuts through the air like a brick. you will get around 600 miles for every £100.00 spent. if you get more than that, your doing ok at todays prices sean
Re: MPG in SWB 92' SportI'm getting approx. 380-400 miles from brim to light on in my '96 Sport if i include some m'way mileage. Less ~350 if just town or local a road trips, this is the later engine though so dont know if that matters but i am running M/Ts. When i first got it, the mileage was v.scary, looking at about 20-22 mpg!! this is up around the 26mpg mark after the service inc. new plugs etc.
I'd still say there was ~5lts left when the light comes on based on what i can manage to put in at fill up time. For info though, apart from when off road i dont think i ever go above 3000rpm ish when driving so pretty light footed i guess(?).
