Need Some Advice.

Last night when I got back from Farley I had to move MUD MUNCHA out of the drive to get FUDDY MUCKER in to reach the hose pipe. It started first turn of the key. After I finished washing FUDDY MUCKER off I thought I would give MUD MUNCHA a wash off. Went to start it, fired up first turn of the key, reversed in the drive and left ticking over on LPG whilst I washed it off.

Just started to put the hose away after about 15 minutes and it revved slightly faster, then the revs dropped and it Stalled. Could I get it started again, could I S*it. So after flattening the battery I popped down to tesco to fill up me petrol can and put that in just to make sure there was enough for it run on petrol. Attached the jump leads, tried to start, still no joy.

So now won't start on either lpg or petrol.

Took snorkle top off, cupped my hand over the top and tried to start on petrol, after about 2 minutes I got a chough and a splutter, but still no fire. Tried again, this time managed to fire it up, just, ticking over very lumpy, struggling to tick over at more then 5000 rpm.

Now if you press the accelerator hard, it sounds like a fuel starvation or too much air. Press slowly and you can build the revs up, and once they are up you can rev up and down as long as you don't go below 2000 rpm.

So today, I have :

1. swapped the idler control valve off FUDDY
2. swapped the MAF Sensor off FUDDY
3. swapped throttle position sensor off FUDDY

Still does the same. Done the paper clip test and got throttle position sensor error, but the one on FUDDY works fine, and still does once put back on the truck, and no error shows on FUDDY MUCKER.

Took the battery off for half an hour, now getting no error for Throttle but now getting Crank shaft sensor. How is this possible.

Forgot to mention, check dizzy cap, nearly new, and now won't run on LPG at all now, so cant be a starvation on fuel from the petrol tank.

I took two videos to try and see if anyone has any ideas, see what you think.

Are the fuel lines ok? Sounds like there could be air getting in that way.

Have you a singal or multipoint lpg system?
Maybe at one of the splice points for the LPG you have some corrosion damage making poor connections.
(I noticed a few things untoward in your engine bay, such as unprotected cable runs and chock block connecters, as you are experiencing problems, scrutinise all your wiring and tidy it up, this may help find the problem or at least rule it out)
Its also worth checking the relays for the lpg system, one maybe playing up not allowing a feed to the petrol relay.
That said, it would be helpful to know if you have fuel pressure.

Another option is, how long has the fuel been sat in the tank ? as it could possibly be contaminated with moisture from condensation :wink:

Assuming that you haven’t any engine damage such as taking in water etc, or other engine problems.
you need to know why its not running, i.e. is there a spark, is there fuel pressure, do you have adequate compression?

When it cut out didit backfire up the inlet manifold or anything like that be cause sometimes if they are on gas they can get a build up in the inlet and pop back and close the throttle flap past it's idle conntact point. you need it running on petrol though before you think of the gas side other poss is have you checked all the vaccum lines and the main intake pipe for splits or rodent damage cause they love that sort of stuff.
It might be slow but i can go anywhere!

Timing, belt/tensioner (although any probs there would have flagged an EML).............?
Have you tried swapping over the crankshaft sensor over JIC?

I realise how frustrating this must be.

Check you didn't get any water into electrical connections such as plug leads and multiplugs.
Also check the engine isn't drawing air, such as inlet manifold or as often pops up on other vehicles, the brake servo and hose. Try disconnecting the air intake hose from the throttle body, and cup your hand over it when operating the throttle.
