Hi Foggers As many of you may of read on here, a few members are raising money to purchase a people lift to enable my son Brandon (he has a condition known as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) to participate in off road activities with fellow foggers. As part of the fundraising campaign (£2220.00 needed) , I have spoken to the owner of Holymoorside play & pay site who has provisionally secured the 10 August 2008 for us foggers . This gives everyone a chance to prepare & plan! I have told him that I will confirm the date in a weeks time. Holymoorside is situated very near to Chatsworth House (Chesterfield,Derbyshire). Its not a huge site at 12 acres but have been told that it has challenges for all skill levels and has more than enough water to satisfy even Bikerbarney! Its a great opportunity to raise some cash as the owner only wants £100 for all of us for the whole day. I am proposing a donation of £20 per fronty to participate. Guys & girls...Im not ashamed to be plugging a fundraiser for my own son and want to reassure you that if all goes well, we fully intend to give other disabled people the opportunity to try out a bit of off roading. What about this is an idea, if you read this thread and for some reason, you can't make it don't worry, why not offer Martin a donation, to help the chair lift fund. A BIG EFFORT IS NEEDED HERE PEOPLE, PLEASE DON'T JUST READ THIS THREAD AND FORGET ABOUT IT. I would like to think we are one big internet Family, so now is the time to show people we are there for each other. ATB. Reeco
